Challenge: The client wanted a senior professional who would have a complementing skill set to the current Board of Directors.
Solution: The Companies Act of 2013 made it mandatory for the Board of Directors of listed firms to have at least one woman Director on board. The client already had a well-balanced Board of Directors and was looking for a woman director who would add a deeper understanding of government functioning and procedures.
We successfully identified a former IAS officer and after performing the required due diligence, were able to facilitate the onboarding of the candidate. Within a time frame of 2 months, we managed to find the perfect fit for such a role and successfully fulfilled the mandate.
